Until 2015 the cover area of renewable energy will exceed 2.5 billion square meters

As to the application of renewable energy in Architecture Field, our country made an extraordinary progress in demonstration project, city demonstration and rural region demonstration. The next step is to realize the scale and high level in application of renewable energy. In order to pace the national strategic of energy conservation and emission reduction, make a greater effort to architecture field application of renewable energy; Finance Ministry and Construction Ministry have jointly issued a notice that new renewable energy have aimed to applied for architecture in 2.5 billion square meters until the end of 2015 which can alternate 30 million ton standard coal and also require all localities to improve supporting measures. The notice requires all localities to fully assess renewable energy condition of the region; provide an extension plan based on demand of building energy consuming；and clearly define key popularization area, popularization target, implementation and supporting measures；draw up the Twelfth Five-Year Plan of renewable energy in architecture application and submit it before April 25th 2011. At the same time the two ministries require all the localities to improve supporting measures, innovate extension model, the local finance department should strengthen the support intensity, set up a stable and sustained input mechanism of finance funds.
