Solar power industry integration may be emerged and some small corporations would be washed out due to the solar cell’s price reduction and excess capacity.
The general manager of Japan SunTech-Power said that with the increasingly cost competitive, some corporations can’t make a profit anymore, those who have to be withdrawn from the market.
He expressed on the Reuter Summit that there are almost 300 solar panel manufacturers only in China, from my perspective, the market can not allow much share for too many manufacturers.
Due to the subsidy reduction of solar power, equipment needs may decline this year, but solar equipment manufacturers still increase their capacity rapidly.
It increased the solar power industrial competition and slashed solar power equipments’ price. Competitors strived to reduce costs to attract more clients.
Furthermore some executives and analysts said that the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident promoted renewable energy development and also may stimulate industrial merger and acquisition.
